Last update trashed KDE

I was running perfectly. I shut down and swapped out my Nvidia GTX 460 for a new Nividia GTX 1660 Ti. I rebooted and of course i had to change from GL04 to GL05 but before i did that I ran ‘zypper dup’, then i installed the nvidia GL05 stuff using console yast to get up to the 430 driver. When I reboot the boot menu is in large text with two kernels missing (I have multiple kernels in /boot I play with but all this stuff happened with the default kernel 5.2.8-1-default) , on boot I am confronted with a full 2 minute wait for some job starting called Wai…ice whatever that is. In KDE the ksplashqml program crashes every time (see debug output below) The Konsole windows are reconfigured to open with no actual window until you select open a new tab, configuring the option works until I reboot. I have a dual monitor setup and the task bar on one window is completely missing, I re added the task bar and configured it (a daunting task) and the programs open on one screen but minimize to the other screens taskbar. Programs on my right hand window simply disappear when minimized, never to be seen again.
What a friggin mess! This can not possibly be due to me switching graphics cards, can it?
Has anyone else had problems after the 8/20 update (20190820)?

Experienced the same problem with konsole. Fixed that by logging out from KDE Applet launcher and rebooting from sddm. You may try: zypper ref -f ; zypper dup.
