Laptop USB to LAN Adaptors

HI I have a 2 laptops where the LAN port is dead but the USB ports are ok. I know I can purchase LAN->USB dongles.

Is there a list where I can see if tumbleweed/kernel supports this hardware without having to install special drivers?

If I search “usb to lan linux” I find a multiple sites offering USB to LAN adapters for Linux and even a site giving the 4 Best USB Ethernet Adapters for Linux.

Most of which are unavailable or have to be shipped from USA to Oz :frowning:

I bought one with an Rtl 8152 Chip inside. (Leap 15.5)

Mostly Linux is supported by many USB-LAN Adaptors, read carefully what is supported.

I found 1 here with RTL 8153.
