Hi
Is it an intel CPU? If so AFAIK, you can only use either powersave or performance. I would guess there is some sort of configuration in the YaST sysconfig editor. I just use cpupower from the command line and never install laptop-mode-tools.
I red It but I can’t find any reference to ondemand or to powersave. Even looking at /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf I can’t find It. The video card is Intel 4400 HD.

Hi
I would leave things as they are (leave at powersave), then have a read
of this; https://sysrich.co.uk/?p=190
Whilst 12.3 centric it’s still applicable for the current release. The
only thing is the module parameters are different for the latest kernels
i915.i915_enable_x is now i915_enable_x.
