It is a nice screenshot app, but the interface is less to my liking.

The Ksnip project is looking for co-maintainer, does anyone know someone that is looking for a good project to get involved in? This maybe a nice opportunity.
I use ksnip because it has a direct file —> print to allow easy printing of a snapshot. All the other screen capture apps you must save screen capture to a file then do separate print from that file.
It is working fine in tumbleweed x11. I don’t care if no one is tinkering with it anymore. It fully does what it was designed to do.

Check Ksnip issue tracker on Github, there are many open issues.
One example: Ksnip does not work Wayland. KDE-6.8 (fall 2026) will be Wayland, from that moment onwards Ksnip is nolonger available for KDE users (like me) ![]()
