I currently have a Kodak ESP3 printer and there is absolutely no support for it in linux. However, i was wondering if there is a way to make it work such as using a wrapper or something. Another idea is if i can install a windows virtual machine and have files sent to a folder on the vm and then have windows automatically print new files that are in that folder, kinda like making the folder the spool. And if these things are possible how do i go about doing them.

it might be that if you used XP in VirtualBox you could attach it as a USB device in XP and it would work.
Yes I know it will work this way because i’ve done it before, but how can i print to the windows printer from with in linux, otherwise i would have to save it in a folder, then go into my windows xp vm and manually reprint it from the folder suse saved it in. I know i can share folders with samba, but how to automate it so that i only have to print once.

What you on about?
The windows printer is attached to the XP VM
The document you are printing is in the VM or has been placed in the VM’s Shared Folder with the Host.
So when you need to do Printing you boot the VM and print.
