In KMail, the client automatically groups the incoming emails by sender. If I have multiple emails by the same sender, it groups them with drop down menus, and additionally places them alphabetically. I don’t want this, but would prefer just a list of the email like Thunderbird and Evolution provide. I could set up my own organizing, I don’t want the client to do it. I am having trouble finding an option whereby I can get rid of this “feature,” as it is not helpful, but a hindrance, for me. Suggestions would be most appreciated.
Hm? It should not do that unless you configured it to do that.
By default it should group the incoming mails by threads, it uses the Subject and the “In-Reply-To” header for that.
Anyway, the grouping is configurable in the settings (“Appearance”->“Message List”):
https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kdepim/kmail/configure-appearance.html#configure-appearance-message-list
You can also set it in the “View” menu (“Message List”), and by right-clicking on one of the message list column headers.
Wonderful, problem completely fixed. Thank you.
