Kernel Swap

is it possible to swap from bigsmp to smp kernel?

because for wotever reason i am running the bigsmp kernel and i dont need to.

im on a lenovo r61i laptop and obviously doesnt need the bigsmp support

You could choose to install it and remove bigsmp, but usually the system
doesn’t give you bigsmp unless you need it or that is the only option.
Anyway, yast: Software: Search: kernel. May want to have a recovery
disk handy just in case. :wink: Perhaps a better option is to install smp
and leave bigsmp and then modify grub to use the one you want (if it
doesn’t do that automatically).
