Hello,
I get randomly this error message when starting up my computer and starting KDE from either KDM or SDDM:
Plasma is unable to start as it could not correctly use OpenGL 2.
Please check that your graphic drivers are set up correctly.
Sometimes it’s ok, starting KDE without this error, but mostly the error is present preventing to start KDE.
I have proprietary nvidia driver from Suse Nvidia repository. With nouveau it was even worse - hanging X when starting KDE.
Driver seems to be ok by looking on glxgears and Xorg log.
I noticed this error, not sure is related:

As I wrote it is intermittent issue, but so far is ok. I added myself into video group and also I installed KDE3 (together with 5) and then I uninstalled KDE3. It seems to be working, no reoccurrence after couple of reboots. The tmpfiles error is still there.
I have been getting the same error but not ramdomly.
I couldn’t login in plasma. I have been login with xfce and it worked but with a bad resolution.
I discovered that at least one of the nvidia packages installed version was from opensuse repos insted of nvidia repo, so I did a “switch system packages” to the nvidia repo and it solved it.
