KDE dekstop - picture of the day - scale & crop

Hi
I am going to use “picture of the day” for wallpapers. It works, it gets picture nicely.
But… How can I scale & crop this picture to fit into my screen? Right now I have 2 black stripes on the edges.
Any help?
