Hi all.
I’m using KDE 4.8 in openSuse 12.2 with Intel HD3000. Blur doesn’t seem to apply in my system although it is checked in Desktop Effects. Please help.

not all effects are possible with all graphics cards and all video drivers…
if you have an ATI or nVidia card you might get more effects to work
if you install the proprietary driver…
but, also you might find other problems or side effects you don’t
expect with the new driver–so, figure out how to get back to what you
have now which works, but maybe not will every possible bell and whistle…
and, be advised that every effect takes another measure of the system
resources…and, when you run out of those your machine will crawl and
beg for mercy.
