Trying to get the newer Suse 12.3. Link on homepage says it can be had by direct link, bit torrent, meta link and something else. Trying to get it faster by torrent…BUT when I choose bit torrent and clik on download file, a whole bunch of computer language fills the screen. I tried to open the torrent program and putting in the URL…But that doesnt work either. I get an error. What am I doing wrong?

You need to tell us what browser and platform you’re trying this on.

Just installed suse 12.2. Went directly to suse home page in firefox. cliked on “get it”. that took me to the download page…you know the rest…32 bit…

Apparently, I am seeing the page “source file”. I right clicked and dropped down to page info. That gave me the right URL. Input that URL into k torrent and am waiting for a response. Doesnt seem to be working tho. Has been 10 minutes and still not working…

i navigated from openSUSE Download Mirrors - Overview. Find your nearest mirrors after choosing the product “12.3” and then you will get openSUSE Download Mirrors - 12.3
It is either your browser, or a broken mirror. Try Konqueror.
When I just tried (11.4-evergreen) both FF-19.0.2 and Konq-4.5.4 seem to work correctly.
I select “BitTorrent” and “64 Bit PC”, then click “Download DVD”.
A dialogue opens to choose between “Save As”, “Open with KTorrent”, and “Open With …”.
I Select KTorrent, which opens with the torr loaded, and requesting a folder to download the iso to.
Great! Thats working. Was at 64kbs via cable modem standard download…ALOT faster now

I just did install suse 12.2. Something corrupt? Nothing else has been changed or installed… Have used this disc before with no probs
