Jstar ctrl-v / ins key stopped working

Some time after zypper dup pressing ctrl-v (or insert key) in jstar editor to toggle between insert/overtype modes only gives an “No such option” error. GUI or terminal in rescue mode.

In any other box I use, Debian 12 & 13 based having ncurses 6.5, not TW’s 6.6, no problem what so ever. Just ssh login to those and jstar is just fine. Any idea why?

Right. I compiled joe 4.7 from the sources. Problem solved. Stiil, could not sort out what causes it, what was changed in ncurses as I could not see any fixes made to joe it self for that.
