Joining the OpenSUSE team(from Canada)?

Hello,
I’ve been using OpenSUSE for a little over 2 years, and have been making little customization for my own use.

I am a graduate student in particle physics field, and I am a little bit curious what the process may be in terms of joining the OpenSUSE team and contribute in developing. I tried looking at the ambassador, but I couldn’t really find an e-mail address I could contact.

Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Welcome. Here’s some links:

And, you could pop this question on the factory mailing list. Send an email to opensuse-factory+subscribe@opensuse.org

Hi Knurpht,

thank you for the links, but I’ve already been to these links. I’m more of looking for potentially setting up a repository. Also, it would be great if I could find a documentation in regards to how to properly packing everything into YAST.

Basically, it would be great if I could find a contact person who has been through this already. I will look into sending in the e-mail at a later date, since I am currently very busy at CERN.

This is OBS ( the open build service, part of the openSUSE Project ) https://build.opensuse.org . You can use the same credentials.
And, the opensuse-factory ML is the place to look for some mentoring.
