iwl3945 works on live cd but not after install

I just installed openSuse 11 - kde4. When I was using the livecd, the iwl3945 driver worked wonderfully. I could connect to my access point and view the web.

However, after the install I can no longer connect to any wireless access point. It can not even find anything. Is there any way to fix this.

Yast Network Devices - Network Settings
edit wireless device
edit the details as needed

dhcp, managed

then use knetworkmanager
add new connection - wlan0
edit as needed SSID etc…
