Hi all

I have a dual bot Lin/Win PC and up until today It was XP and Ubuntu. Today I thought I’d come back after eight or so years to oenSUSE, as Ubuntu Firefox performance is grating, mainly with Javascript/flash heavy sites. I tried the a 11.0 openSUSE LiveCD and did have the same poor experience, so I replaced Ubuntu.

I opted for KDE rather than Gnome onlly because I seem to use more KDE apps. But now that I have the system loaded, I feel like a lost child on his first day at a new school.

Is there any docs that is geared to helping and addressing issues typical to newbies? eg how to install a flash player, how to configure sound for mp3s etc for eg

Flash is in the repo’s. I’m guessing you used a cd to install. Just open Yast software management search flash-player
