I have switched to Gnome recently, and I wonder, is it possible to change data information units? Because every other program, website, OS uses MiB, GiB, etc (even though some of those programs claim they are megabytes and gigabytes).
And Gnome uses MB, GB and such, which is quite inconvenient.
I havent used gnome in a long time , but does it use the windows style notation i.e. it shows MB but 1MB = 1024KB or does it use the HDD manufactures model of 1MB = 1000KB?
Gnome default File Manager shows in 1000-notations.
Use another filemanager, like say Thunar, if you want a switch between the 1000/1024 notation option.
