Is there an equivalent of ip-up.local for wireless connections?

AFAIK ip-up.local is only for ppp connections, or am I making a mistake?

I want to run a specific command each time the wireless (or wired) interface comes online.

  • If you use NetworkManager, search for “NetworkManager dispatcher scripts” with search engine of your choice.

  • If you use ifup, read “man ifcfg” and the file “/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg.template”.
