Is there an equivalent of ip-up.local for wireless connections?
AFAIK ip-up.local is only for ppp connections, or am I making a mistake?
I want to run a specific command each time the wireless (or wired) interface comes online.

If you use NetworkManager, search for “NetworkManager dispatcher scripts” with search engine of your choice.
If you use ifup, read “man ifcfg” and the file “/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg.template”.
