Intermittent ssh problem

Dear All,

I am having intermittent problems connecting from home to my office with ssh which are driving me to distraction. Occasionally it works, but more often, perhaps ~95% of the time, it does not. I have never had similar problems when trying the same thing with the same laptop from places other than home and ‘putty’ on a windows machine always works.

I strongly suspect that it is an issue with my home wireless and/or router but wondered if there was any known issue with ssh which could be contributing?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I am running openSUSE 10.3, uname -a gives:

Linux 2.6.22.18-0.2-default #1 SMP 2008-06-09 13:53:20 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

and an example of the output when ssh hangs follows
