I noticed that my cpu temp is intermittent. It seems that every other restart my cpu temp will continually increase. I monitor the temp using gkrellm. Can anyone enlighten me or point me in a direction of where I can troubleshoot this?
sample scenario.
session 1 - cpu temp ranges from 57 - 60
restart the computer
session 2 - cpu temp starts 57 then continually increases to 90 - at this point i restart it already
wait for cpu to cool
restart the computer
session 3 - cpu temp ranges from 57 - 60
restart the computer
session 4 - sames as session 2

I searched the net and found that it is disabled at the bios. However, I was not able to see it in my advance options (see link below). Is there another way? Thanks!
I still can’t find an answer to my problem. I’ve also observed that on every other session the fan of my cpu moves or spins faster. For instance when I restart from a state that the cpu temp is getting hot and when I don’t cool it long enough, when the computer boots up with my openSuSE os I can feel and hear the fan moving with more power. By the way, I also can’t find how to disable my ACPI.
