Introduction:
After MSI repaired my laptop my WiFi didn’t work anymore properly.
For the exactitude the WPA/WPA2 Personal was sent only by a distance of 1.5 meters from the router. After many checks the only sound conclusion was that MSI exchanged the motherboard and the new wireless card, despite the same name and model, needs more appropriate drivers. On the other hand, for what I know Intel takes care personally for the own linux drivers: the conclusion was that a good driver for my WiFi must exist.
Solution:
I connected with
I discarded the stable drivers, being possibly the suddenly insufficient up stream drivers. Instead I downloaded and compiled from
http://wireless.kernel.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6/compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2
Such drivers are made daily and a distro can’t have them in the repos. They compiled like a charm and work greatly!
Bluetooth is also included.
