ok i can hit the play button in amarok if that helps…but i hear no sound

just wanted to clarify…it looks like the driver is there…but i have no sound

I be sure user is in the audio group. If you see a driver in yast ( at first you did not then you said you did???) press other key (bottom right) and see if you can hear test sound.

If that does not work again in the other turn pulse off and try again

If that does not work then turn pulse back on and come back here

the test sound or turning pulse on didnt work…

i got the sound to work installing pavucontrol and alsa-firmware
