GPU is GTX960M is currently supported by the Nvidia 580.126.09 driver.
having tried to upgrade with migration-tool and don’t succeed

I made the usb pen with SUSE studio imagewriter
it boots normally
selecting install I get black screen
selecting media check I get a black screen
selecting failsafe install I get this

tried https/agama.local inserting the password SjGGiwa5 doesnt works gives login incorrect
tried from another pg using chrome https//192.168.1.19 chrome gives me alerts but at the end works
agama appears but I tried many options but cannt setup to use existing partitions, how to use the existing / (sda6) and /swap (sda8) partitions and leave unchanged /home (sda7) and windows partitions (sda3 4 5) data partition (sda9)
and also, what I have to do with efi-boot partitions (sda1 2)?

IIRC from your recent thread, nomodeset was already mentioned. Since you have NVIDIA you need that during install and at boot until you have the NVIDIA driver installed.

manythanks, it worked locally

I f I insert in use disk>details>add or use partitions
/dati as mountpoint and select sda9 as partition to mount (NTFS)
agama doesn’t allow me to use as it is and propose to format with XFS
how can I get to mount sda9 in /dati and leave it untouched?

then I used existent partition / (sda6 ext4) and /home do not format(sda7 ext4) and /swap (sda9 swap) but agama show me different things in spite of settings I did and after rescanned devices

what is true?

and then, how can I know what agama will do with partitions (as yas did)?
which is formatted and with which filesystem and which is not formatted?
the list doesn’t show anything about this

and also how can I reuse old users and theyr passwords (as yast did)?
also I was not able to import ssh key from laptop disk, how can I import ssh key from disk?

I tried to upgrade to slowroll with opensuse-migration-tool updeted to the last version, it seemed to works without errors but it hangs at the same point
used kernels
6.18.7-4.gbb49763-default hang with or without nomodeset
6.18.7-1.0.8-sr20260101-default hang with or without nomodeset
6.18.7-1.0.8.sr20260101-default (recovery mode) hang with or without nomodeset
6.4.0-150600.23.81-default boot but no grphics login, text login where I insert user and password then run startx and it works

Do the ntfs stuff post install via Cockpit
