Installin Winw (Yast)

Hello,
I have just downloaded Wine and I am trying to install it on my computer. as far as I know I should do it with yast, and so I try to do. When I start the installation, I allways get the message :Failed to mount cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0,/dev/sr1 on /var/adm/mount/AP_0x00000001: No medium found (mount: No medium found)"
I don’t know why it’s asking for a CD if I already have downloaded the file to install it

Thank you very much

Maybe wine has some dependencies to install (it needs some libraries e.G.) which are on the cd!

Why dont you want to install the wine version from your cd or from the repository your distribution ship with?

Use yast to both download and install ‘wine’ ,It is in the repositories, You could also enable the wine repo if you need the latest version.

as su -

zypper in wine

Thanks for your help, but i am neww i linux, and I have no ideo of what are you talking about.
what is “repositories”? The file I have downloaded to install Wine is wine.repo.
thanks again

You do not need to add a repo

Just do as I said, here is how to be su in a terminal
Become su in Terminal - HowTo

Then copy and paste with your mouse this and hit enter

zypper in wine

say yes to accept the install
