Install Suse FROM External HDD

Hi I have a 17inch Powerbook G4 with a busted Cd drive

Was wondering is it possible to install OpenSuse from a External Hdd Firewire/USB to my G4?

Contrary to all the sites saying the Powerbook G4s not being able to install/boot from USB i have successfully installed Leapord from an USB External HDD to my G4.

So i was wondering is the same was possible with OpenSuse?

Thanks in advance would appreciate helping hand on this situation

Im not too knowledgeable on linux plus i dont have a working linux machine is the same process doable from a windows or a osx machine?

UNetbootin - Homepage and Downloads You have this which I presume does it, I’ve only recently seen it about, so can’t really comment. But it looks like it is possible.

shocked, appalled, i dont know what to say - openSUSE Forums last post there mentions it but I have no real knowledge of it.
