Install process dies at udev

I just got a Dell precision workstation which came with Ubuntu 14.04 installed. I want to replace it with OpenSUSE.
I also got a Dell U2515H monitor.
I hit F12 to boot off of the Leap 42.1 dvd. It loads the kernel, and gets to the udev line and the signal to the monitor dies, and I am stuck. I have an NVidia Quadro K1200 video card.

How do I overcome this?

At installer boot menu press e find line starting linux or linuxefi. GO to true end (it wraps) add space and nomodeset. press F10 to continue boot
