Install Oracle VirtualBox on OpenSUSE 12.1

Hi guys,

I wanted to install Oracle Virtualbox on OpenSUSE specifically 12.1
VirtualBox Downloads

however as i look at the site above, it only has a Oracle VirtualBox for OpenSUSE 11.4
openSUSE 11.4 VirtualBox-4.1-4.1.8_75467_openSUSE114-1.i586.rpm

Can I still install this on my 12.1 box?
also how do I install it? haven’t install yet packages outside OpenSUSE’s default Software Repository

How do I install it through Yast(Graphical)?
How do I install it through the terminal?

Thanks a lot guys

just like any other program: do NOT go to the maker’s site (like you
might have done with that old fashioned operating system of last century!)

-open YaST Software Management
-in the search box type VirtualBox or virtualbox
-press the “Search” button
-when the list on the right comes up, find

virtualbox	VirtualBox is an Emulator (version number)

-single left click the empty box to the left of the package name
-YaST may present a list of other packages (and/or add check marks)
that must be installed to support VirtualBox: Accept the list or VBox
will NOT work
-press the “Accept” button at the lower right
-let it run, do NOT try to abort it or stop it
-if you get an error report that here without killing YaST or shutting
-after VirtualBox has been installed read its documentation thoroughly
as you set it up to fix your needs

Read what Distro Watch writes:

Hi, I just installed VBox as your instruction, and I see the interface for creating VM is not same ‘VBoxGtk’. Would there be a problem installing the .RPM from the original download url suggested on there site:

wget -q -O- | rpm --import -

or where is the original interface? Thanks!..

Cancel that! I found the original…
