Install Monodevelop 2.4?

I have installed openSUSE (Gnome) lately on a box via a netinstall CD which pulls down the packages when the installation portion begins.

I included Monodevelop in the list, but what I got was version 2.2! When I go to the Monodevelop download page I see a one-click install for up to 11.2. No 11.3 one-click is anywhere, so I figure it was already moved to the repositories.

I even added the Mono repository but still only find version 2.2! Am I missing something? Do I need to do or look elsewhere for ver. 2.4?

I see monodevelop 2.4 here
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Mono/openSUSE_11.3
maybe you simply need to look again with yast into the repo and it appeared
since you last looked into it.

Could I be looking at the regular, official repository and not the Mono one?

Possible, I do not know which url your mono repo has (you said you added a
mono repository). As far as I understand the project description
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=Mono
the one I gave you is the one for the newest mono packages.
The official repos will always be more conservative and not update to a new
major version and yast will not simply change to use a different repository
by simply adding it you need to tell it that.
If you go into yast -> software and search for monodevelop do you see a
version 2.4 available when you click on the versions tab?

I’ll look when I get home tonight.
