In dolphin when I click on a file to open the file isn't selected

on my laptop 1=ASUS vivobook pro N552VW-FY204T (2016) with freshly installed leap 16.0 running KDE 6.4.2
in dolphin when I click on a file to open the file isn’t selected
in 15.6 when a file was clicked it was also selected, how to have this behaviour also in 16.0??

no, I have this setting in systemsettings:

dolphin click no selection systemsettings-Screenshot_20260308_212428

and in 15.6 when I click on a file to open it, for example usb multiuser mount.txt, the file is open and the result in dolphin window is this (selected file)

in 16.0 the same operation lead to this (no selected file)

I would like to have the 15.6 behviour (at least I know which file I clicked)
