You could try arora ‘arora - Google Code’
(http://code.google.com/p/arora/)
It’s being considered as the default browser for 11.2

Thanks for sharing that. I’m playing with it now on Kubuntu. Very fast.

Maybe it will be Firefox all over again. Those who were around then
will recall that Phoenix was developed to counter Netscape bloat. It
would be funny if something else were to challenge Firefox bloat. But I
guess the competition for simplicity is worthwhile.

there’s a bug that causes it to use even more memory than firefox and
opera

so,i’ll stick to opera, unless someone has a better suggestion

I do not know what stage of development Chrome for linux is in. However, it is quite fast on Windows. I would like to give it a shot once it is out for Linux.

There is a Linux version ‘Chromium’
(http://www.codeweavers.com/services/ports/chromium/) developed by cross
over

chromium is very unstable, because it just feels that i’m running the
windows version on wine,so it’s not very dependable as a main browser

not to mention that it doesn’t display arabic properly, which is vital
to me

anyway,i’ll give “swiftfox” a try,but it seems that there’s a problem
with bash scripts on my machine :frowning:
