HP printer connectivity

Every time I do an update or a reboot, I lose connectivity to my HP wireless printer. I now connect it via usb but that sometimes goes dead too. Are there network security issues that (ports) that could be causing the problem? If so, how do I fix that?

On a separate note, as I type this topic, the box on the right pops up showing similar questions from the past. But clicking on any of the topics does not bring me to the thread. Is there a setting I need to fix?

The last TW snapshots nearly all contained updates for networkmanager. It is absolutely normal that your wireless connection gets disconnected whilst update. And it is also absolutely normal that all networks get disconnected when you restart your computer. It might be that your printer has issues to reconnect automatically.

Is the printer configured to use a static IP address or using DHCP? If it changes and the configuration has a predefined IP address that would be a possible cause. USB connectivity shouldn’t be affected though.
