To all,
Way to go, may not be new for many of you, but still
It started with trying to install Windows 10 on this internal NVme. The bios says it’s the first one to boot, but at boot not recognized, and Windows refused to install because it might not be bootable. A suggestion was to use the Clover boot of some Hackingtosh distributions to get multiboot, because this HP has a non repaired flaw in the bios Same problem.
Knowing that Linux is more flexible I returned to OpenSuse. Using the USB Install disk, I could install, however the Laptop would not boot.
So how to proceed. In my few the only way, but if someone has another suggestion always welcome.
I installed the UEFI and boot partition on the harddisk, and the rest on NVMe SSD {this HP has a internal PCIe slot for these NVMe SSD cards)
Boots very fast into the Desktop, and shutting down is seconds.
Probably the same will be possible with Hackingtosh, but I don’t have the time. With Windows I doubt that. The kernel and a major part of the OS is in the same directory.
Laptop in question is a HP Elitebook 850 G2, but some others have the same issue and HP did not bother to come with a Bios update.
