I recently installed OpenSuse 13.2 on my family laptop. The laptop is a Toshiba and I have added the HP Envy wireless printer as the default printer. The problem is that when I print any type of document it prints on four sheets of paper. The documents top left corner starts in the center of the first page and is broken up into four separate parts. I have verified that the default paper size is 8.5 x 11 and the other setting are default. What can I do to fix this problem?
Try adding the repository at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Printing/openSUSE_13.2/, and switching system packages to it. That gets you to hplip version 3.15.2, and a fixed CUPS.You probably need to go through the printer set-up process again after that change. Reboot.
For our HP m127fn, hp-setup chose a driver of the type hpijs, and it did not work. It printed as you describe. In YaST, I manually changed the driver to the hpcups one, and everything works correctly with it.
