Hello,
My laptop HP 4740s sometimes freezes (about 1 out of 10 times) when system is going to hibernate.
For example, when I close laptop, screen becomes black and system doesn’t hibernate. I can hear a fan running. Nothing can wake up the system except power off/on.
I checked the memory with memtest86+. No errors.
OS: OpenSUSE 12.3

It might be because the temperature of your laptop is high. Do you have external cooler for your laptop?
What do you mean “external”? I have cooler(s) which are built-in laptop.
