HOWTO install ElsterFormular on openSUSE12.1 Tumbleweed

Prerequires:

Tumbleweed fully up/down graded from depo Index of /repositories/openSUSE:/Tumbleweed/standard
– only as a precaution

wine updated from depo Index of /repositories/Emulators:/Wine/openSUSE_12.1

  • with the packages
    – gettext-runtime-0.18.1.1-18.1.x86_64
    – wine-1.5.6-168.1.x86_64
    – wine-32bit-1.5.6-168.1.x86_64
    – wine-gecko-1.5-25.1.noarch
    – wine-mono-0.0.4-3.1.noarch

zenity installed from depo Index of /distribution/openSUSE-current/repo/oss
– zenity-3.2.0-2.1.2.x86_64

winetricks downloaded from winetricks - The Official Wine Wiki
– copied to /usr/bin/

elsterformular downloaded from https://www.elster.de/

  • ElsterFormular-13.2.0.8623u.exe
    – copied to /home/<username>/.wine/drive_c/

adobereader downloaded from Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions

  • AdbeRdr950_en_US.exe
    – copied to /home/<username>/.wine/drive_c/

Installation

  1. following cmds issued,

  • sh winetricks vcrun6

  • sh winetricks vcrun2005

  • sh winetricks volnum allfonts

  • sh winetricks winxp

  • winecfg
    – ElsterFormular-13.2.0.8623u.exe added as Windows XP application
    – AdbeRdr950_en_US.exe added as Windows XP application

  1. ran ElsterFormular-13.2.0.8623u.exe and installed in /home/<username>/.wine/drive_c/ElsterFormular/
    —(by double clicking program)

  2. ran AdbeRdr950_en_US.exe and installed in /home/<username>/.wine/drive_c/AdobeReader/
    —(by double clicking program)

program start

double clicking /home/<username>/.wine/drive_c/users/<username>/Desktop/ElsterFormular.desktop

Notes:
Could read old *.elfo files from 2010 through 2012.
Could generate new forms without problem but network interface not yet tested.

FWIW

ElsterFormular was used to post the 2012 2nd Quarter Ust return to the Finanzamt this week-end.

No difference noticed in using the program wrt Win7 install.

The program can also be started with the cmd,

env WINEPREFIX="/home/<username>/.wine" wine /home/<username>/.wine/drive_c/ElsterFormular/bin/pica.exe
