Recently my kde desktop has started blanking due to some form of power management. Or I assume that’s what it is. I disabled power management when I installed and up to now this hasn’t been a problem.
How do I stop it ? Odd thing is the blank display looks like a very dim totally blank screen saver but kde doesn’t seem to have the ability to use screen savers. I think that the level of blackness of this “screen saver” is less black than the normal one on my display which I set very carefully for photography.
xset -dpms does nothing.
