I’m on openSUSE Leap 15.6 and I’m having trouble signing PDF document digitally through Okular.
I generated a certificate through Kleopatra, but when it comes to signing through Okular, it says that there are no signatures.

Have tried to use Dolphin to sign it?
Open Dolphin
Navigate to sub-directory where PDF exists
Highlight the PDF, then right-click
Move down the popup menu to Actions
Then on the Actions menu, choose the “Sign” option you prefer, which results in opening Kleopatra to sign.
Or, maybe simply stay in Kleopatra when you generate the cert, then apply it to the file
(or maybe I missed something?)
Yes, i used the Kleopatra and option in Dolphin menu, but i need the visual sign in PDF + digital sign. My Okular don’t recognize the signatures in my system created by Kleopatra.
The document has been created is .sig.
How can i use that ?
Did you configure the PDF backend in okular correctly?
This is the first time I need such a function. I don’t know how to proceed.
The easiest way I found to do this is with a paid-for app called PDF Studio [PDF Studio - PDF Editor Software for Mac, Windows and Linux]. You can use an official certificate or create your own, and sign any pdf with it, with background graphics if you like. I’m not against paying for apps, and this was reasonably cheap. I think you can try before you buy, at least I did at the time, and found it worth of my money. I’m currently using version 2023.
P.S.: I’ve absolutely no connection with the publisher, I just like the software.
I just checked the site, the price increased a lot since I bought it in 2020 for $60, IIRC. At least they didn’t go the subscription route, the license is perpetual.
Maybe you didnt click the link provided in @susejunky reply, which shows the documentation for backend configuration.
I’ll research about it.
I don’t know how to do… I’m novate in system.
That is a bit vague. We can all see the document @susejunky linked to. So please explain how far you got in understanding it and where you got stuck.

What are your requirements for this signature: SES, AES or QES?
I’m researching a little more about it, reading your links…
It’s normal.
The PDF standard requires X.509 certificate and ignore the other ones.
You can digitally sign only with X.509 certificate.
You can obtain an x.509 certificate from a certification authority. You’ll usually have to pay for it.
Hello!
I have a certificate issued by AASP, an entity in Brazil for advocacy solutions. It was issued to be used with the A3 token, a USB device that logs in and signs documents to advocate. I managed to get it working on Zorin OS as it uses Ubuntu base and most packages work better on Ubuntu.
It turns out that I need to access and login to openSUSE, as it is the system used in the company.
The choice for this system and not another is due to some particularities of the system.
The device driver is downloaded in RPM, for CentOS, but since the packaging is RPM, I can install it.
The drivers I downloaded from the official website are from Certisign (Safesign). I downloaded it, but when installing, it doesn’t find some libraries that are necessary.
He asks so far:
libtiff.so.5(LIBTIFF_4.0)(64bit)
I believe that by installing this library, I can correctly install the drivers. Then in Okular, configure the Driver path.
