How to save password to NAS via SMB?

Hi,

Since upgrading to KDE 6, now my network connection to my NAS frequently asks me to re-enter the password. On KDE 5 I didn’t have this issue. How can I have it saved?

Hmmm… I have the ‘Remember password’ checkbox present…

What is returned by the following?

ps -ef |grep -i wallet

Do you have ‘kwalletd6’ process running?

I can confirm that the ‘Remember Password’ checkbox will be missing if the KDE wallet subsystem is disabled.

Once you have it enabled, it will take effect after the desktop is restarted.

Ah yes, I did disable the wallet subsystem. The reason why I disabled it was because every time I would launch ‘ungoogled-chromium’ browser, it would ask me to enter a password. This was so annoying and a new prompt only on KDE 6, so I ended up disabling it.
