how to run NetworkManager applet????

Hi every one!!!

I’m using openSUSE 11.4 and KDE 4.7 and NeworkManager in my laptop. My Internet is working just fine with NM however I don’t see neither the icon in the system try nor in the System/desktop applet menu :frowning: I know that networkmanager is running because I checked with yast (I thought I was using the tradicional way ifup). I also tried to re-install NM and nothing happened

any suggestion???

thanks in advance!

Hi

I think it is a plasmoid widget that you can add. Right click desktop → add graphi… not sure what it is called, I use swedish desktop language.
You should find it…

edit:

lol, what he said

sounded better, d*mn I type slow xD

I’m not sure :-s what I’m looking for is the GUI for NM in order to configure my wireless connections

PS: I attempted to install knetworkmanager and I didn’t find anything with that name…

I didn’t find the Networkmanager in the apps’ menu :frowning:

right click the system tray, pick System Tray Properties. Thsi will open the Systray settings. Now go “Items”, unlock widgets, and check “Network”. Apply and you will see a NM icon in the systray.

this is exactly what I meant!!! thanks for the answer!!!
