How to prevent system suspension while the login screen is present

AMD Ryzen 5 5600x

The graphics adapter for my computer decided it can only do 640x400. Ugh. I’ve been leaving the computer on while I wait for replacement hardware. I can access the computer remotely.

Unfortunately the system goes to suspension for some amount of time (10 - 15 minutes?). All remote connections are terminated.

Is there a way to prevent suspension from occurring?

Another oddity in this situation is that I can no longer login locally at the computer; only remotely.

You’ll find settings regarding suspension under “Power management / Energy saving”. That is, assuming KDE Plasma.

For one off needs, there’s also a Power Management widget in system tray where you can turn off suspension & screen locking.
