How to prepare a Suse installation jump drive under windows

Hey there,

I got two questions:

  1. I would like to install suse from a jump drive(USB), I found a description how to do that…but to prepare a jump drive I need an already running Linux operating system…which I don´t have…does anybody know if it is also possible with a windows xp system??

  2. I want to install Suse on a netbook…has anyone experiences with running Suse on netbooks? is it working well? in my case it is a belinea o.book

For more informations or if you didn´t get my concerns just let me know…thanks for help

Use unetbootin - might well work. If it doesn’t, post back, there are at least a few workarounds.

I’ve used 11.1 on my Eee PC 1000. Only major bug is that sometimes it (along with a few other distros) hangs when rebooting or shutting down, and you have to pull the plug out to reset it to a bootable state. Annoying, but not fatal - and if it recognises your screen size ok (sometimes takes a little coercion) then it’s fine.
