How to post screenshot image

I see QUOTES before and after the pictures in posts in the screenshot area,
I’m fairly sure there is a ‘link’ to the image.

So treat me like the forum dummy that I am.

How & where do I put the image(link?) I want shown in the Screenshot section?
I know I can use susepaste to add a link, but would like to post the actual screen shot as I’ve seen in the monthlies.

TIA

Go to https://paste.opensuse.org. At the top-right you can click Image.
Follow the uload instruction. Also below choose Delete Fater: Never.

Copy/paste the URL of the page inside URL tags in your post (the Globe icon in the tool bar of your post editor).

Sorry, you do not want to show a link to an image (as we normally do here when people want to illustrate their problem).

You can do so using the “Insert Image” button from the toolbar. It asks for an URL. Which means that you must store the image somewhere on a web-site so it is available. So first upload to a web-site.

I never tried, but you could try to use https://paste.opensuse.org as above, but then copy/paste the URL of the image, not of the page and use it in the Insert Image.

Thanks;
I’ll give the susepaste thing a try first. I used to have place to store images that gave me URL’s, but I’ve lost a lot, on my machines, and in my brain pan.

Pressing Print Screen captures the whole screen, while Alt + Print Screen captures just the currently active window. As soon as you press Ctrl + V, you can press Ctrl + C to copy the image’s URL to your clipboard. I would like to have ss of my website during services provided during and event.

The easiest way to share screenshots and images.

  • Click on the window you want to capture.
  • Press Alt + Print Screen.
  • Click back on this webpage.
  • Press Ctrl + V to upload the image.

D’oh! rotfl!

Sorry can’t resist, that’s bad but this one really gave me a chuckle.
