I could not find an easy way to do that. Zypper did list telepathy packages, but not the KDE specific ones like the plasma widgets.
So, where do I find KDE package for telepathy?
You can find ktp a.k.a.KDE Telepathy packages in KDE:Extra repository. I am not sure does a one-click install or a metapackage exist for it.

Actually, if you get it to work, could you report back on what you did? I’ve wanted to play with telepathy for some time now, but the number of packages always seems rather frightening, and I’ve never invested much effort in trying to sort it all out.
I have loaded all the packages for KTp and it works to some extent! But I cannot get my audio and video to work! So it seems to be in the Beta stage to me!
This might have been really late for a reply, but here is what I did:
- Add the KDE Extra repo. I use zypper:
sudo zypper addrepo -f -n KDEExtra http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_12.3/KDE:Extra.repo
- Install the following ktp packages - telepathy module for KDE:
sudo zypper install ktp-accounts-kcm ktp-approver ktp-auth-handler ktp-call-ui ktp-common-internals ktp-contact-list ktp-contact-runner ktp-desktop-applets ktp-filetransfer-handler ktp-icons ktp-kded-module ktp-send-file ktp-text-ui libktpaccountskcminternal4
This got KDE telepathy installed in my system. Along with the core telepathy packages, it will also install plasma widgets - Instant Messaging Contact List, Instant Messaging Presence and Instant Messaging Contact. They are pretty handy.
Personally, I have added Instant Messaging Contact List to my desktop, and enabled Instant Messaging Presence in my system tray.
And I would highly recommend using KDE telepathy. Its fun and integrated in KDE - much better than other instant messengers.
on my 12.3 with KDE 4.10.5 I tried to install telepathy from KDE-extra but this error popped up:

Could you please post your repo list with URLs?

KDE:Extra doesn’t exist anymore for KDE_Release_410_openSUSE_12.3, if that’s what you’re using.
In that case use http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_12.3/ instead. There’s ktp-call-ui in there AFAIK.

Well, because you use [noparse]KDE:Release:410[/noparse] I guess? 
It did exist, but got removed during the restructuring of the KDE repos, because it is not necessary/superfluous.

Yes, I suppose.
But you don’t need [noparse]KDE:Release:410[/noparse] really.
KDE 4.10 is included in openSUSE 13.1 anyway, all updates from KR410 got/will be released as standard online updates anyway.
So I would suggest to just remove it.

The main part for users is that KDE:UpdatedApps does not exist anymore. Those got moved to KDE:Extra.
And [noparse]KDE:Unstable:Playground[/noparse] is now KDE:Unstable:Extra… This affects you as well, if you are going to enable that again along with the KR411 repos.
