How to have up and down and left and right arrows on scroll bars in libreoffice calc?

Hi, on my leap 15.6 using KDE plasma, how can I have up and down and left and right arrows on scroll bars in libreoffice calc (version 24.8.12)?

Did you try the scroll lock key?

it is not a keyboard problem, I would like to have arrows in the calc scrollbar so I can clikc on them and move the sheet

It isn’t practical. There is no option in Tools/Customise/Toolbars for adding arrows connected to these moves, possibly because the arrows are already in use in other contexts.
Nonetheless there are various Move options (without icons) in the available commands. It is possible that what you want to do can be achieved with one of the other available options but not using arrows.

FWIW, here’s an old thread of yours discussing the same…

yes, but now I cannot find anymore:
(KDE) System Settings → Application Style → GNOME Application Style (GTK) → GTK Themes - gtk3 theme = Breeze
I only arrive to:
(KDE) System Settings > Appearence > Application Style and there ins nothing about gtk or gnome, so I don’t know about what gtk I’m using

then I tried this?
In ~/.config/gtk-3.0/ added to the already existent file named “gtk.css”
with the three solutions contents in the discussion leving at the end the original content:
@import ‘colors.css’;
but nothing change, no arrows in calc scrollbar

nothing here

I am on tumbleweed, not leap, but I think this would be the same between the two.

zypper se kde-gtk-config

On tumbleweed I have two packages for the various different gtk versions. Install these config packages, maybe need to logout/login to fully take effect, then check settings again.

manythanks, I installed and now I have the configure GNOME/GTK application style

I find a solution online, launch libreoffice in this way fron a konsole window:
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice
I don’t know to use to launch calc or the other libreoffice software but:
the arrows in the scroll bars are present, but the characters of the menus are very small, but it it may be useful to have a better solution

I also tried after installation of
kde-gtk-config
using
In ~/.config/gtk-3.0/ added to the already existent file named “gtk.css”
with the three solutions contents in the discussion leving at the end the original content
but no arrows

Did you try clicking on the pencil-icon in the bottom right corner?

Worked here and brought me back the buttons (including LibreOffice) without opening the GTK dialog.
Must say, I’m still on 15.5. (Due to failed upgrade and nvidia issues. Maybe time for a fresh install.)

yeah manythanks, :smiley: it works, partially but accettable, the vertical scroll bar is ok with one or two buttons at top and bottom, the horizontal has no specific settings and the right one doesnt show arrow but the left shows both left and right

Glad I could help. :slight_smile:
