How to backup/restore leap 42.1 system from dying disk...

Hello

I’m using leap 42.1 with btrfs and my disk is dying. The root tree is now mounted read only…
How can I backup/restore (clone) a btrfs leap installation? Not imported if my snapshots are copied or not.
Do I have to create al subvolumes by myself? Can I use tar to backup restore? My destination partition has not the same size.
Found a lot of articles on the net but no solution :frowning:

Copy you personal stuff ie you home and any databases you need. Then just reinstall far far less time and trouble to just reinstall. If you perhaps use odd setups you may want to grab /etc also as a reference (do not use except as a reference to your system settings).
