How does one make windows snap to each other and the edges of the screen?

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum, but it seems close enough. As stated in the title, how does one go about this? I know Fedora supports this, and was wondering if there was a way to configure it in OpenSuse. I haven’t found anything in the Control Center about this, or on the internet for that matter.

what desktop environment and version did you use in Fedora and what are
you using in openSUSE–all you speak of is a desktop thing, and not a
distro thing…

that is to say, if you run the same DE and version in openSUSE it will
probably have the same features…run a different DE = different features…

You have to configure your window manager.
From what I know Kwin, Xfwm4 and Compiz support snapping (and it can be enabled using GUI).
Im not sure about Metacity, though.

Yes, this can be done under GNOME as well.
