How can i install two linux in single hdd

I already have Debian etchy installed i want to install opensuse 11 as only have one hdd… While i am on the partition screen… I select the free space to be / as / already exist it says it cannot create / how can i install it now…

IF you have free, unallocated, space in the drive the opensuse installer should give you a recommendation on partitioning. That works quite well.
Post the default partitioning it is offering you if you’re in doubt.

give us anidea of your existing setup
from a terminal as su

fdisk -l

Edit the proposed root partition to blank then add your own root partition I have suse 11.0
and 11.1 beta on the same hdd and that is what ive had to do
MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE PROPOSED / TO DO NOT FORMAT
