so in android ii can do many things like use xprivacylua to hide or usually fake my device info like what hardware im running on or faking my serial info things like that is there anyway i can fake or spoof my computers info besides changing my mac address for better security or any info like that that i should fake so applications like idk maybe discord or skype or even ktorrent dose not see that im even running a linux machine? or am i being too paranoid
xprivacylua looks good, did not know that app, but for google, xprivacylua will not help.
Your computer MAC address will not leave your home if you have an ADSL/Fiber/Cable connection, it will be only used for the traffic between your computer and the ADSL/Fiber/Cable box.
In another thread I saw you WiFi has a private IP address (192.168.*) and also that will not leave your home, the outside world will see something like you will see on https://www.myip.com/
What is your specific worry? The more you know the more you can worry about things but how real is the thread? Almost sure there are bigger threads in life.
ok thanks and idk what my worry is i guess ive alwayse been a bit paranoid ever since i was a teenager and more over i just like to feel secure no matter what im doing is all.
I use encrypted file systems for privacy. But I don’t worry about MAC address and such like.
Honestly, if you want complete privacy, just unplug the Internet cable. That’s about the only thing that would work. And don’t use a cell phone, either, because relentlessly tracks you.
If I think back to my childhood days, before the Internet was even a dream, I remember that my neighbors knew everything about me. There was never complete privacy. As the old saying goes, “the more things change the more they stay the same.”
