How do I enable it? On Ubuntu it would hibernate when I shut my laptop, but on openSUSE it just blacks the screen and when I open it activates screensaver and all that. Do I have to activate the “hibernate on screen shut” option or something?
Dare I hazard a guess that you are using gnome? You mention Ubuntu you see.
Power management is the place to look. Not sure where in Gnome as I’m strictly kde.
Actually no, I’m using KDE.
Go to Configure Desktop - Advanced - Power Management - Edit Profiles
