What changed when it failed, or has it never worked?

Do you use a wired or wireless connection to the DSL? Is there a separate
router, or just the modem?

don’t post email ids in public forums unless you want to get a lot of spam mail

Thank you.wired.for example when i want to install wine, fllowing message is shown “Can not Access Installation Media”

  1. Do you have an intenet connection at all? Try this test in a terminal session and see if you get similar results.

ray@giulia:~> *ping -c2 8.8.8.8*

  1. Then if possible can you show us what repositories you have configured? Like this:

Please post the output of the following commands. Note that all computer output
should be inside “code” tags - use the advanced mode.

/sbin/ifconfig
/sbin/route -n
cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep -v \#
ping -c5 8.8.8.8

yes i have an internet connection and pinged Google.com,but the page of google is not loaded.

i guess if you open YaST Software Repositories you will see that
one of your currently enabled repos is the CD/DVD disk you used to
install openSUSE…its URL address will begin with cd, or dir, or
something other than http//:

if you have that repo enabled, disable it by single clicking on the
line with the cd in it, and then click to REMOVE the x from the
‘Enabled’ and ‘Automatically Refresh’ boxes…

then, try again to install something…

dd

Do you see any ip addresses in /etc/resolv.conf

i did it,but…

yes i see ip address:91.98.94.15

Hi
Are you using a VPN? The way I understood from the news here, there
were/are connection issues not related to any operating system.

I listed 4 commands, and you posted the output for only 1. You should do all of
them. Knowing that the ping worked, the first one is not necessary, but the
second and third are still needed.

No, I do not think that being in Iran makes a difference. You are able to access
the openSUSE computers that run the forums.

Also, please post the output of ‘nslookup download.opensuse.org’ and ‘zypper lr’.

no i am not using VPN or Proxy

please post the output lwfinger asked you for. We can’t help you without

These commands are not “cd” commands, they’re executables.

When posting command output, /please/ use code tags (advanced editor, #
button), otherwise your output is very difficult to read.

Execute the commands as:

/sbin/ifconfig
route -n

As root (which you’re doing here). Do not prefix them with “cd”.
