executed the command:
sudo zypper rm -u '*gnome*'
because I’m using only hyprland and then some emojis doesn’t render on my system
I’m on KDE but I think/hope that it works the same way on gnome.
AFAIK you need the Noto Color Emoji font installed. I don’t see how it could’ve gotten uninstalled with that command, but that’s the first (and only) troubleshooting step my limited experience with gnome is able to suggest.
The google-noto-coloremoji-fonts package is recommended by a package with gnome in its name, so --clean-deps could well remove it.
